Location: Throat
Energy connection: The fifth chakra resonates to the numerous emotional and mentals struggles involved in learning the nature of the power of choice.
Symbolic connection: The challenge of the fifth chakra is to progress through maturation of will:
Everybody has authority over me, I alone have authority, to the final perception, that true authority comes from aligning yourself with a higher power.
Primary strength: Self- knowledge and personal authority, ability to keep your word
Primary fear: Fears related to our willpower exist within each chakra
Questions for Self examination?
1. Are you able to express yourself honestly and openly when you need to?
2. What is your definition of being “strong-willed”?
3. What makes you lose control of your own willpower?
4. Do you pray for assistance with your personal plans?
5. Do you trust guidance that has no “proof” of the outcome attached to it?
6. Do you bargain with yourself but you continually postpone taking action?
Power: Choice
The greatest act of will in which we can invest ourself is to choose to live according to these rules:
1. Make no judgements.
2. Have no expectations.
3. Give up the need to know why things happen as they do.
4. Trust that the unscheduled events of our lives are a form of spiritual direction.
5. Have the courage to make the choices we need to make, accept why we cannot change, and have the wisdom to know the difference.
