What are Chakras?

Chakras are the energy centers in the human body

The following is a brief summary of the spiritual life-lessons represented by the seven chakras:

  • First chakra: lessons related to the material world
  • Second chakra: lessons related to relationships, work and physical desire
  • Third chakra: lessons related to the ego, personality and self-esteem
  • Fourth chakra: lessons related to love, forgiveness, and compassion
  • Fifth chakra: lessons related to will and self-expression
  • Sixth chakra: lessons related to mind, intuition, insight, and wisdom
  • Seventh chakra: lessons related to spirituality

Chakra I.

Location: Base of Spine

Energy Connection: The first chakra is the foundation of emotional and mental health which originates in the famity unit and early social environment.

Symbolic connection: First chakra energy manifests in our need for logic, order and structure.

Primary strength: Tribal, family identity, bonding honor. The support and loyalty that give one a sense of safety and connection to the physical world.

Chakra II.

Location: Lower abdomen to navel area
Energy connection: This chakra resonates to our need for relationships with other people and our need to control our physical environment.
Symbolic connection: The healthy second chakra energy keeps us able to interact with the physical world without having to negotiate or “sell” ourselves,
it is the energy of self-sufficiency.
Primary strength: The ability and stamina to survive financially and physically on one’s own, Personal and professional decision-making ability; the resilience to recover from loss.
Primary fears: Fears of loss of control, or being controlled by another.
